Gardening

This is the story on how we both get started doing gardening together. It happened gradually over the years when she started learning to love plants. I would say when the time I handed her a customized terra cotta pot with succulents after coming back from a “Women’s Retreat”. I was away for three days, and one of the activities in the mountain is planting. I made one especially for her, decorated and with succulents. At first, I would have not thought for her to love the gift. But, I am so glad that she did. She used to buy those faux succulents in the store, then she stopped when she learned the live ones are fun to take care with. It is like having a pet. Well, I would say, they’re a pet because you have to take care of them - water and feed them. And the best part, you get to see how they'll grow over time. So, that was the start our love of doing indoor gardening together. It is not that much but it is more than enough to get CLOSER TOGETHER, and realizing it is indeed very therapeutic especially when you cannot go anywhere when the world locked down because of the COVID-19. It changes us how we spent our time. A lot of folks are actually went into gardening just like us, and until now. Several months back, just going to Lowe’s or Home Depot alone, cannot even find a decent pots. The shelves were empty, and plants are flying off the shelves faster than you can pick upon. We will be sharing about the things we learned from planting together. Some tips we noted. And will be sharing the names, and all about the plants of what we have. Please stay tuned with us, thank you.

20: Week 20

Hello dear Reader, yes I realize I didn’t post last week. I’ll try to do it next Sunday, but we’ll see when I actually write it. I apologize again.       Make sure you drink enough water, that you eat three meals today, and that you take your vitamins or medication(s) if necessary. I hope your day is good and relaxing. I’m just going to add in a poem today; I’ll probably write something else next weekend. Anyways, enjoy the poem! And if you have any constructive criticism for me, I’ll gladly take it; any chance to improve my writing. Also, please tell me if my dialogue seems “robotic” or something; I think I need to work on it.        “Sterling! Now!”       Sterling was in the middle of a battle, his friends on either side of him about to be demolished by his enemies. Of course, they weren’t expecting an ambush. They had just fought a few days ago and left the enemies with severe injuries. They shouldn’...

21: Week 21

Hello dear Reader, I sincerely apologize for the lack of posts. I didn’t post around the end of May due to my finals and wanting to focus on school and on keeping my grades up. I may have lost track of time ever since summer started but I’m back to posting weekly. I hope everyone’s summer has been good so far. Make sure to wear your mask if you aren’t vaccinated and if you’re in a public area where it’s required. What has everyone been doing so far? I haven’t done much. One of my best friends and I had our first sleepover; a friend came over on Friday so we went swimming; I’ve been world building for a new story - more on that later - and Mother and I are going thrifting on Tuesday. I also planted some new plants for myself. Not to mention dance stuff is going on, so there’s that.  Now, on to my new story. In the spring semester of this school year, I had creative writing. During the class, we had workshops, where we would write a short story - around four pages - and read it out l...
