7: It's Freezing Cold but Goals are a Good Way to keep Yourself Orientated

Hello dear Reader. I hope everything is well for you and everyone you know & care about is healthy. I had a family member test positive for COVID a while back with mild symptoms so he’s doing okay now.

Anyways, I’ve been so cold lately. Every time I’m sitting at my desk in class, I’m freezing. Apparently our heater is off and even if it was on, it doesn’t go over in that room properly, for some reason or another. Not to mention, my feet get cold this time of year. Possibly my hands as well. You know what, my entire body is just cold if I’m not wearing enough layers. The only time I’m warm is when I’m dancing, doing Zumba, or laying down in bed.

Off topic, but does anyone else sleep with many pillows and stuffed animals? I sleep with 7 pillows (4 regular pillows, my Magicians pillow, a hotdog pillow, and a fuzzy blue round pillow). My bed is in the corner, up against the wall. So I’m able to have many stuffed animals on the left side of the bed. I have a stuffed dog, an elephant, an octopus, and many other stuffed animals. My parents sleep with only two pillows, which I find strange. Who sleeps with only two pillows???? Not me.

Earlier I mentioned that Mother and I do Zumba. We started this week on Sunday, then continued on Tuesday. Our plan was to do it Sunday and Tuesday, but skip Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. But we did it on Wednesday because I wanted to and so now we’re adding that day to the mix. I highly recommend it, if you’re wanting to start working out or if you just want to add something new to your regular workout. It’s a full body dance workout and you can find different videos on YouTube. They have 30 minute and longer ones, as well as some choreography that’s incorporating the workout into it. It really works your body out and because exercise produces endorphins in your brain, it also makes you feel good when you’re finished.

Does anyone have any specific goals or plans for this month? I wrote some out. I’m trying to drink more water, keep my room organized, keep my grades up, eat more fruit, finish my anime/manga wall, trying to finish a quarter of my book (I’ll write about it in another post), and some other stuff. I don’t drink enough water, so I’m currently aiming for drinking water every other day. I also need to eat more healthy, therefore eating more fruits.

Yes, I am working on an anime/manga wall. It’s going to have fanart I’ve made, pictures, and manga panels. I’m waiting to print out the pictures because our ink in the printer is weird and I have the manga panels printed out, I just need to outline it more (again, the ink is weird). I plan on having the pictures be in color and be glossy because we have glossy photo paper. So I’m excited for that.

Anyways, take a break when you need to and take some time for yourself. Set up some goals for this month or for the rest of the year, whichever suits you best. Or if you already have some, keep working towards those ones.

    Until next time, dear Reader.

Signing off,

Mother and Eliot

20: Week 20

Hello dear Reader, yes I realize I didn’t post last week. I’ll try to do it next Sunday, but we’ll see when I actually write it. I apologize again.       Make sure you drink enough water, that you eat three meals today, and that you take your vitamins or medication(s) if necessary. I hope your day is good and relaxing. I’m just going to add in a poem today; I’ll probably write something else next weekend. Anyways, enjoy the poem! And if you have any constructive criticism for me, I’ll gladly take it; any chance to improve my writing. Also, please tell me if my dialogue seems “robotic” or something; I think I need to work on it.        “Sterling! Now!”       Sterling was in the middle of a battle, his friends on either side of him about to be demolished by his enemies. Of course, they weren’t expecting an ambush. They had just fought a few days ago and left the enemies with severe injuries. They shouldn’...

8: No One Asked for this But Here You Go Anyways (Recommendations, part two)

Hello dear Reader. Yes, again, recommendations. But this time, it’s for my fellow bibliophiles. So here is a list of books I highly recommend. If you want to find more books, look on Goodreads, a bookstore, or your library.  The list: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak How to Make Friends with the Dark by Kathleen Glasglow The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X.R. 21: Week 21

Hello dear Reader, I sincerely apologize for the lack of posts. I didn’t post around the end of May due to my finals and wanting to focus on school and on keeping my grades up. I may have lost track of time ever since summer started but I’m back to posting weekly. I hope everyone’s summer has been good so far. Make sure to wear your mask if you aren’t vaccinated and if you’re in a public area where it’s required. What has everyone been doing so far? I haven’t done much. One of my best friends and I had our first sleepover; a friend came over on Friday so we went swimming; I’ve been world building for a new story - more on that later - and Mother and I are going thrifting on Tuesday. I also planted some new plants for myself. Not to mention dance stuff is going on, so there’s that.  Now, on to my new story. In the spring semester of this school year, I had creative writing. During the class, we had workshops, where we would write a short story - around four pages - and read it out l...
