16: Week 16

Hello dear Reader, I hope your week was good, that you and your loved ones are staying safe. Drink some water if you haven’t already, don’t forget to eat, and take your medication if necessary.

What have y’all been up to lately? I haven’t been up to much. I cleaned my bathroom, vacuumed, made a charcuterie board with Korean fire carbonara noodles, iced tea, some strawberry Pocky sticks, and milk chocolate macadamia nuts yesterday. I’ve been working on an assignment for my creative writing class so I finished that. I did make a monthly savings page in my journal last night so I know what I have at the end of each month.

Mother said she would make a crochet froggy hat so I’m waiting until tomorrow when we go to Walmart. It’s not just for the green yarn and whatnot, we need other stuff and I need more essential oils since I’ve used up all the ones I own. I might get lavender, eucalyptus, tea tree, peppermint, and I’m not sure what else. I really like those scents. Mother also broke her charger so she’s going to have to get a new one tomorrow; she’s been borrowing mine for the time being.

I’ve been rewatching Drag Race and I love it. I haven’t seen seasons 11, 12, or 13 since on Amazon Prime you have to buy season 11 and 12. I’m not sure if they have 13. I’ve also been watching The Magicians on weekends and I don’t want to watch the last episode. I’ll watch it sometime though.

Are you guys ready for warmer weather? I am. I’m thinking about maybe getting more plants. I want vines and an edelweiss, the plant that’s in Crash Landing On You. I don’t know where to get the edelweiss though so I’ll wait for those. Maybe not another succulent since I have quite a few of those already. We do have two extra baby jade plants so I might pot those later. I do have a plant outside, his name is Harlow. I’ve had him since spring last year when schools went into lock down. I was in a 2D art class and we had an assignment to create something from our culture. I decided to go with Filipino culture so I got a pot because there’s a material in there that’s from the Philippines and I got my paints and I sketched everything out and painted it. Once it was done, I turned in a video to show my teacher and I planted him.

Anyways, I’m to go and drink my iced coffee while I look at stuff on Pinterest.

    Until next time dear Reader.

Signing off,

Mother and Eliot

20: Week 20

Hello dear Reader, yes I realize I didn’t post last week. I’ll try to do it next Sunday, but we’ll see when I actually write it. I apologize again.       Make sure you drink enough water, that you eat three meals today, and that you take your vitamins or medication(s) if necessary. I hope your day is good and relaxing. I’m just going to add in a poem today; I’ll probably write something else next weekend. Anyways, enjoy the poem! And if you have any constructive criticism for me, I’ll gladly take it; any chance to improve my writing. Also, please tell me if my dialogue seems “robotic” or something; I think I need to work on it.        “Sterling! Now!”       Sterling was in the middle of a battle, his friends on either side of him about to be demolished by his enemies. Of course, they weren’t expecting an ambush. They had just fought a few days ago and left the enemies with severe injuries. They shouldn’...

8: No One Asked for this But Here You Go Anyways (Recommendations, part two)

Hello dear Reader. Yes, again, recommendations. But this time, it’s for my fellow bibliophiles. So here is a list of books I highly recommend. If you want to find more books, look on Goodreads, a bookstore, or your library.  The list: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak How to Make Friends with the Dark by Kathleen Glasglow The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X.R. 21: Week 21

Hello dear Reader, I sincerely apologize for the lack of posts. I didn’t post around the end of May due to my finals and wanting to focus on school and on keeping my grades up. I may have lost track of time ever since summer started but I’m back to posting weekly. I hope everyone’s summer has been good so far. Make sure to wear your mask if you aren’t vaccinated and if you’re in a public area where it’s required. What has everyone been doing so far? I haven’t done much. One of my best friends and I had our first sleepover; a friend came over on Friday so we went swimming; I’ve been world building for a new story - more on that later - and Mother and I are going thrifting on Tuesday. I also planted some new plants for myself. Not to mention dance stuff is going on, so there’s that.  Now, on to my new story. In the spring semester of this school year, I had creative writing. During the class, we had workshops, where we would write a short story - around four pages - and read it out l...
