Hello dear Reader. I hope your week was good and that you got some rest. Don’t forget to drink water, eat food, and take your meds if you have any.
What did everyone do this weekend? We didn’t do much besides clean. I procrastinated a bit by going on Reels and Instagram but I did clean my room and bathroom. I’ve been wanting to rearrange my room for a while but I don’t know what I want to do.
In other news, I found my dream bookshelf. It’s the Billy bookshelf in white from Ikea. Mother says I can put it where my dresser is currently and then move everything else on that wall over but we’ll see if it fits. I had a friend do the math for me and apparently it’s a foot and a half or so taller than me (for reference I’m five foot one). It costs $98 though, so I’m saving up for it. I also already know how I’m going to decorate it. The books will be organized by genre in height descending order. I’ll add lights around the side of it, as well as some plants. If there’s extra space on the shelves, I’ll add in my disc connector, my Nintendo DS things, my speaker, and other stuff. That’s if it fits in my room but I hope it does.
Midterms are coming up soon and since I have advanced dance this semester, I’ll have to choreograph something. I already know what I want to do and I’m so excited for it. It’s going to be a very fluid dance, inspired by Cirque Du Soleil and certain dances of Step Up Revolution. The song I’m using is Goodbye from Apparat with Soap&Skin. It’s the opening theme from Dark, a German tv show. If you haven’t watched it, I highly recommend it. It has to do with a small German town, a basement, a tunnel and different timelines. There are three seasons, if I remember correctly. Mother and I watched it over last summer. I started working on it and I really like it so far. I still have to finish it, I have around forty seconds so far, and I have to clean it up when I finish the dance.
My grandpa’s been eating lunch and dinner with us downstairs - I live in one of those houses that has a small apartment place connected to it and he lives in the small apartment place - since he got a tooth surgery and we’ve been watching movies. We watched 47 Meters Down Uncaged and normally, I don’t like shark movies. That’s mostly because it’s unrealistic - even though I know it’s fictional? This doesn’t make sense - and also because of Sharknado. I watched one movie and hated shark movies. I just don’t like that franchise. But we watched it, and I liked it, which surprised me cause I didn’t think I would. But I really enjoyed how the writers/directors made the first half of the movie suspenseful with the acting and the setting. But the second half, the part where the sisters are in the open sea, wasn’t suspenseful for me. Also they could’ve had more of an ending in my opinion, but it wasn’t too bad.
Alright, make sure to finish any work and also take time for yourself.
Until next time, dear Reader.
Signing off,
Mother and Eliot
