19: Week 19

Hello dear Reader, I apologize for not posting a month ago or so. I didn’t post the week of midterms because I was busy and didn’t have time to write something. And I may have just forgotten to write a new post, but I’ll try my best to keep up with posting.

Anyways, Mother and I are watching Banana Fish. Well, I’m rewatching it technically but I’m going to leave the room when we watch the last episode because I don’t want to watch it again. We’re really close to it too, we’re past episode 21 I believe. We also tried watching It’s Okay to Not be Okay but we couldn’t get into it. It’s not the story, it’s the fact that we were used to more fast paced kdramas and that one is slow (for us anyway). I’ve been watching Goblin Slayer, which is really good except for certain parts of it. Apparently season two is coming out this year, so I’m looking forward to that.

I also got the first two volumes of No. 6 yesterday, which is interesting so far. I really like the storyline. Also, Shion’s mom and Safu are so pretty. I can only hope my library has the rest of the series but it probably should. I actually checked earlier and it doesn’t, but another library does. The only problem is the other one is a bit far away. But I decided that I wanna get the series so I’m going to save up $100 to get it at Barnes and Noble.

Oh! My school opened for in person/hybrid two days before we had spring break. I chose to be in person and it’s so much better than being completely online in my opinion. I didn’t mind it last semester cause the time for homework and assignments was so flexible but I enjoy seeing my teachers and some classmates face to face. I’m also getting my vaccine soon; Mother got hers recently on Thursday last week. I was supposed to get it that day too but the people administering the shots only had Moderna so I couldn’t get it.

In other news, we have an Instagram account! It’s @motheranddaugherthoughts. I’ll be posting this update there later. Speaking of that, I made an Instagram account for the process of writing my first book. It’s @wordsthatdefineus. Please go follow them!

I’ll try my best to post more often; it’ll be every Sunday, hopefully before 6 or 7pm.

Alright, have a good rest of your Sunday and be prepared for tomorrow.

    Until next time, dear Reader.

Signing off,

Mother and Eliot

20: Week 20

Hello dear Reader, yes I realize I didn’t post last week. I’ll try to do it next Sunday, but we’ll see when I actually write it. I apologize again.       Make sure you drink enough water, that you eat three meals today, and that you take your vitamins or medication(s) if necessary. I hope your day is good and relaxing. I’m just going to add in a poem today; I’ll probably write something else next weekend. Anyways, enjoy the poem! And if you have any constructive criticism for me, I’ll gladly take it; any chance to improve my writing. Also, please tell me if my dialogue seems “robotic” or something; I think I need to work on it.        “Sterling! Now!”       Sterling was in the middle of a battle, his friends on either side of him about to be demolished by his enemies. Of course, they weren’t expecting an ambush. They had just fought a few days ago and left the enemies with severe injuries. They shouldn’...

8: No One Asked for this But Here You Go Anyways (Recommendations, part two)

Hello dear Reader. Yes, again, recommendations. But this time, it’s for my fellow bibliophiles. So here is a list of books I highly recommend. If you want to find more books, look on Goodreads, a bookstore, or your library.  The list: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak How to Make Friends with the Dark by Kathleen Glasglow The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X.R. 21: Week 21

Hello dear Reader, I sincerely apologize for the lack of posts. I didn’t post around the end of May due to my finals and wanting to focus on school and on keeping my grades up. I may have lost track of time ever since summer started but I’m back to posting weekly. I hope everyone’s summer has been good so far. Make sure to wear your mask if you aren’t vaccinated and if you’re in a public area where it’s required. What has everyone been doing so far? I haven’t done much. One of my best friends and I had our first sleepover; a friend came over on Friday so we went swimming; I’ve been world building for a new story - more on that later - and Mother and I are going thrifting on Tuesday. I also planted some new plants for myself. Not to mention dance stuff is going on, so there’s that.  Now, on to my new story. In the spring semester of this school year, I had creative writing. During the class, we had workshops, where we would write a short story - around four pages - and read it out l...
