23: Week 23

Hello dear Reader, I hope you’re in good health and that everything is perfectly fine with you and your loved ones. I hope you got the time to breathe and to relax, to do something you love this past week. Make sure you drink some water, especially since there are heatwaves and take your medication(s) if necessary.

I haven’t been doing anything. I don’t want to go out, considering the heatwaves. The other day I thought about going to the park and world building for a story I’m going to write and then remembered it’d be too hot for that. I’m even going to water my plants inside instead of taking them out, just because it’s too hot out. Mother says she’s going to barbeque some chicken out earlier rather than at 3 cause you know, the heat. I’m just waiting for this to be over. Apparently it’s supposed to be around 99 - or 37 if you use celsius - where I live, which isn’t too bad. At least it’s not triple digit. That’s great because I actually have plans tomorrow.

I found a place that sells silver rings where I’m going tomorrow - I already checked it out in person too. I love it there. They sell rings, charms, necklaces, crystals. I’m pretty sure most of the jewelry they sell is silver. It’s great. I’m practically in love with that place. Honestly I might go back there tomorrow just because it’s great. The only problem is that it’s sort of expensive. I have some money but it’s not a high amount of cash. Oh well, that’s fine. I might just look around again.

Anyways, was anyone else’s past week slow? Because honestly this week has felt so slow. It was like wading through extremely hot mud or something. Hopefully this week will be better.

I’ve been playing Minecraft a bit more too. I built a mushroom house, a mushroom gazebo, and played on a survival world. Maybe I’ll play with one of my friends sometime; we haven’t been on our survival world in a while. It’s one of the island worlds, so it’s pretty interesting and fun to see how we’re going to survive. We made a house that’s a bit underground and basically has a cave inside it. We’re working on an enchantment room and we have a farm for wheat on another part of the island.

Alright, I have to cut this short again. We’re celebrating my grandpa’s birthday a day early - it’s tomorrow but we aren’t sure when he would get home from work, so it’s earlier. Make sure to get some rest dear Reader.

    Until next time dear Reader.

Signing off,

Mother and Eliot

20: Week 20

Hello dear Reader, yes I realize I didn’t post last week. I’ll try to do it next Sunday, but we’ll see when I actually write it. I apologize again.       Make sure you drink enough water, that you eat three meals today, and that you take your vitamins or medication(s) if necessary. I hope your day is good and relaxing. I’m just going to add in a poem today; I’ll probably write something else next weekend. Anyways, enjoy the poem! And if you have any constructive criticism for me, I’ll gladly take it; any chance to improve my writing. Also, please tell me if my dialogue seems “robotic” or something; I think I need to work on it.        “Sterling! Now!”       Sterling was in the middle of a battle, his friends on either side of him about to be demolished by his enemies. Of course, they weren’t expecting an ambush. They had just fought a few days ago and left the enemies with severe injuries. They shouldn’...

8: No One Asked for this But Here You Go Anyways (Recommendations, part two)

Hello dear Reader. Yes, again, recommendations. But this time, it’s for my fellow bibliophiles. So here is a list of books I highly recommend. 21: Week 21

Hello dear Reader, I sincerely apologize for the lack of posts. I didn’t post around the end of May due to my finals and wanting to focus on school and on keeping my grades up. I may have lost track of time ever since summer started but I’m back to posting weekly. I hope everyone’s summer has been good so far. Make sure to wear your mask if you aren’t vaccinated and if you’re in a public area where it’s required. What has everyone been doing so far? I haven’t done much. One of my best friends and I had our first sleepover; a friend came over on Friday so we went swimming; I’ve been world building for a new story - more on that later - and Mother and I are going thrifting on Tuesday. I also planted some new plants for myself. Not to mention dance stuff is going on, so there’s that.  Now, on to my new story. In the spring semester of this school year, I had creative writing. During the class, we had workshops, where we would write a short story - around four pages - and read it out l...
